Jolene
In our third instalment of The Pyramid Sessions, it’s with great pleasure we bring you Gossling’s heartfelt cover of Dolly Parton’s ‘Jolene‘.
Gossling (Helen Croome) has come a long way since we first recorded her singing her original song ‘War‘ in 2011 and we’ve been following Helen’s career closely, applauding and high-fiving her along the way.
Since we filmed Gossling some two years ago, Helen’s enchanting voice has taken her to renowned festivals around Australia including Splendour in the Grass, Falls/Southbound, Peats Ridge Festival and Pyramid Rock where we recorded this cracking cover. Her distinctive voice was featured in the chorus of 360’s “Boys Like You” which also happened go 4x platinum. Gossling has since been signed to Dew Process, performed at the ARIA Awards and is now ready to release her first album ‘Harvest Of Gold’.
This highly anticipated debut album is due out on November 1st this year, produced by John Castle (The Bamboos, Vance Joy, Washington). We were lucky enough to have a little taste of what’s to come with her first single ‘Never Expire‘ which dropped earlier this month and sat in the top 10 on the international Hype Machine charts for several consecutive days.
It’s been an amazing journey for Gossling, and we can’t wait to have ‘Harvest Of Gold’ in our hot little hands.
