Bears – Little Fun

Bears

Little Fun

Youthful Melbourne based 6-piece Bears came into our lives when they recently supported HOWQUA at The Toff. It’s always telling when a support band stands out in such a way that you want to know more – a particular standout being Mitch Peters’ brooding lead vocals. We’ve been eagerly awaiting the release of their debut single ‘Little Fun’ ever since.

Bears have come onto the scene with more than a splash, rewarding their growing audience with a free download of a single that could potentially exceed all expectations for a first release.  Eyebrows will be raised.

Having already made a name for themselves, previously supporting the likes of Paper Kites, Jakubi, and Georgia Fair, the path is being paved in the right direction for Bears, suggestive of a big future that awaits.

Their first release is beyond promising; reminiscent of early White Lies and (dare I say) hints of Mick Jagger, coated with beautiful 4-part harmonies and an interesting arrangement throughout; telling a musical story that ranges from smooth melodies to crackling raw vocals with an underlying psych vibe throughout.

Keeping it in the family the song was produced and mixed by Bears drummer Brad Dadson.

Be one of the first to download this badboy for free and put it in the cloud, synch it to all your devices and play it whenever the mood strikes. It gets better with every listen.

Bears launch their single ‘Little Fun’ at The Workers Club on 30 August.
